CPN (UML) Finalizes 16 Proportional Representation Candidates

The CPN (UML) has officially recommended 16 candidates for proportional representation (PR) to the Election Commission. The decision was finalized during a high-level meeting chaired by Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa.

Party Deputy Secretary General Lekhraj Bhatta made the decisions public, noting that the selection was meticulously balanced across various ethnic and social clusters. Beyond the candidate selection, the meeting served as a somber moment for the party, as members passed multiple condolence resolutions following the recent bereavement of Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and the passing of other senior party figures.
