Fonepay Launches “Sakshyam Naari” Campaign to Bolster Digital Financial Inclusion for Women

KATHMANDU – Fonepay has officially announced the third edition of its annual “Sakshyam Naari” campaign, a month-long initiative dedicated to strengthening the financial confidence and digital literacy of women across Nepal.

Running from March 1 to March 31, 2026, the nationwide campaign seeks to dismantle traditional barriers to financial services. This year, the focus shifts toward reframing the conversation around credit. By promoting credit cards as strategic tools for growth and convenience rather than risks, Fonepay aims to empower women to take full control of their financial futures.

Virtual Innovation at the Forefront

The centerpiece of this year’s movement is the Fonepay Credit Card, a fully virtual financial product. Bypassing the need for physical plastic, eligible users can activate the card directly through the mobile banking apps of participating partner banks.

To drive engagement, Fonepay has collaborated with several leading financial institutions, including:

  • Siddhartha Bank Limited
  • Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited
  • Kumari Bank Limited
  • Everest Bank Limited
  • Garima Bikas Bank Limited

The campaign encourages active usage of digital tools. Female customers of the partner banks can qualify for rewards by activating their virtual cards and completing a minimum of three transactions during the month of March.

In a sparkle-filled partnership with Sajuna Jewellers, the campaign offers significant incentives:

  • Grand Prizes: Five winners from each participating bank will be awarded diamond jewelry.
  • Vouchers: 50 customers from each bank will receive discount vouchers worth Rs. 5,000.

Through these strategic partnerships and the focus on “Sakshyam Naari” (Capable Woman), Fonepay continues its mission to bridge the gender gap in the digital economy, ensuring that financial independence is accessible to women nationwide.
